We offer pregnancy and postpartum care at both Little House Acupuncture locations. At Blooma, we have belly-down tables for your comfort and work alongside their expert team of educators, movement instructors, and bodyworkers.

Support for Nausea, Constipation, Fatigue, Anxiety, and More During Pregnancy
Your body is changing fast during pregnancy, and acupuncture can support you with the side effects of those massive hormonal and physiological shifts. Regular acupuncture can reduce nausea and heartburn, gently aid with constipation, support your energy levels, and ease your anxiety during the first trimester of pregnancy and beyond.
We’re trained in supporting pregnant patients and acupuncture is a safe, effective tool to add to your pregnancy support plan.
Birth Preparation
Around 36-38 weeks is a great time to start weekly acupuncture to support your birth! Research has shown that acupuncture can help support going into labor without induction. The Cochrane Review for acupuncture and acupressure to induce labor states that “acupuncture may promote a more favourable state of the cervix.” Moreover, acupuncture can help you calm anxiety and feel ready for whatever your birth ultimately looks like.
We offer a birth preparation package to encourage regular care at the end of pregnancy, which includes a Chinese medicine postpartum recovery gift.

PAIN RElief during pregnancy
Acupuncture can be a safe and effective treatment for low back pain, shoulder and neck tightness/pain, headaches and migraines, and more during pregnancy. We look at the whole picture to address your pain from multiple angles.
For ultimate comfort during pregnancy, at our Blooma location we have specialized, weight-relieving, belly down tables, designed to let you completely relax.

Postpartum Recovery
Whether you’re experiencing postpartum depression, low milk supply, breast pain, body pain, or simply feel low energy or anxious, acupuncture can be a great way to support yourself during your postpartum recovery–from the first months, through the first years! Acupuncture is also a great way to support c-section scar healing.

There, we learned from experts in the field how to best support pregnant and postpartum patients.
